The inconvenient truth

People in this rural area do the great farm work to plant apple trees. The Chinese economy faltered compared to last year, whereas farmers produced a lot of apple. So, this has been a rough year for the farmers.

I thought people living in a rural area were mostly bad off, but they are actually similar to the Koreans. Although they live in a farming village, they have something enough for a living, and they seem to be generous.

However, when I see an apple box, I feel that’s a shame. We can produce a really nice one like this, but the box is easy to break because it’s too light when it’s been delivered. We push ourselves harder to develop the better apple box.

There is one inconvenient truth everyone knows. We have the whitish coated part on the box when we print it black or other dark colors. We still make a mistake. The white part is defective. In fact, we took lots of faulty items back as much as we supplied defective goods to lots of brands. This was disastrous in our business.

So, we actually devote all our energies to look for the cause of the white part. We had doubts about three processing works, such as printing, coating, and perforating. When we print a box dark color, we mix something with it. So, it might cause the defective part.

If it didn’t, we coated the half-dried box or we used a wrong knife to perforate. We didn’t establish the cause. If we delved a little deeper into the causes, the problem was likely to be paper. Some items were defective, whereas others were clear.
We made a loss. We have a lot of things we don’t know even though we carried out lots of tests and researches in a scientific way.
So, we actually found one way to reduce defective goods.

That’s “Look before you leap.” It takes a long time, but this is the better one among others that we found. We don’t find the best one yet. Likewise, we have an inconvenient truth and try to solve it.
