This
is the People’s Daily published on May, 13th that is the official
organ of the Chinese Communist Party.
Vivo placed a whole-page ad in the
newspaper to notify the new release of a brand new product. If we take a QR
code, saying ‘Meet at We Chat on May, 14th, 2015,’ we can enter into
a page to introduce a product of We Chat.
This is the same marketing method
that South Korea used to use a few years ago. China has used this long before
that. I think China is a step above Korea in terms of its availability.
Furthermore, there are various QR codes in China.
Vivo seems to challenge to a
stronghold of XioaMi. A smart-phone war in China is kind of scary. Apple and Samsung
take a step forward. However, as a challenge of the Chinese own brands is
getting harsh, they might get beyond the level of Apple and Samsung in the
future. In my opinion, the power of Lenovo or Huawei will increase
significantly more than Xiaomi for another five years.
Those brands don’t stick
to their popularity and perseveringly grow up over and over. If Samsung and
Apple take their eyes off in the market, the Chinese brands reach the IT fields
in the world.
Korean people use QR codes, but it is not extensive like in
China. ‘We Chat’ positively makes good use of them. Equipments piled up at my
home after moving in. I tried to organize them one by one, but I have four or
five more equipments in five months.
It will be hard for me to deal with them
because of the big volume. The first step is always the hardest. I would like
our company to lead further and newly show something not as the existence of a
useless QR code. A shopping bag is not all the same.
We try to make it special
and different.
Then, we prepare for ten years.
