Google
has Youtube, whereas Alibaba has YouKu. I think BaiDu and YouKu in China are
the biggest beneficiary of the Chinese government. Google is the world’s best
search engine, and Youtube is also the best site to upload a video in the
world.
However, these are not nearly enough in China. BaiDu and YouKu are the
best sites in China.
Korean dramas would be uploaded in real time on these
sites, and the latest Fox dramas began on May, 24 hours season 9, is being
aired as you can see a picture above.
This means that YouKu becomes a very
special medium and spearhead to spread the Korean wave because many people get
the latest Korean culture when they search something on YouKu.
Google
and Youtube are not available in China like Facebook.
Thus, BaiDu, Alibaba, and
YouKu have sprung up to China, which are the largest recipient of the Chinese
government.
There is another social network service in China, like facebook. It’s
Weibo. Within an hour of playing a Korean drama in Korea, Chinese people can
watch it on YouKu. On the site, a copyright is not necessary.
The only thing
what we can do is to watch it or upload. I don’t know whether it is good or
bad. Chinese internet companies or software development enterprises that have
established the specific profit model in terms of a copyright make a huge
profit in some ingenious ways.
YouKu might shake Youtube off soon. China has an
internet population of over 500 million and about billion in terms of the real
time log-ins and clicks.
It might feel like they have gained a thousand troops
supporting them now.
That’s the way China has, such as a technology of making
my own things of others and advanced imitation.
Amazone, Ebay… Their Chinese names are BaiDu, Weibo, YouKu, TaoBao, T-mall….
What’s the next thing? MAST prepares anything next.
