We produced a shopping bag for a cosmetic brand, Biellee located in Daegu. In terms of its foil, it’s pretty special because it’s expensive. Also, the copperplate printing costs third or fourth times as expensive as the existing foil’s copperplate.
Other kinds of work are not very hard, but it takes so much time to put in foil together because we handle with pressing in intaglio and putting in foil at the same time.
It’s like the same way of putting in general foil and special foil, but being in harmony with clean and embossed tooling takes a long time at first.
I hope that consumers feel very special about this cosmetic brand instead of being just one of numerous brands. I also would like to sell over 10,000,000 pieces of it a month. Actually, Korean market is wide. I tried to focus on everything in Korea.
I got to have many worries because I have handled with work in Korea 100 % since the establishment of our shopping bag factory in China. This is about the exchange rate. Because of it, I made a loss.
So, after then, I focused on my business in Chinese market. I sometimes got an order from Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. There are lots of companies that have run business longer than us and have a better system in Korea, but I feel that our company’s competitiveness is higher than others in China because we actually found out a tiny place to squeeze into.
However, there is no easy way in life. It is not easy to carry on business in China because I can’t speak Chinese fluently.
Hence, it is pretty hard for me to train employees rightly and let them enter into market. We have a hard time strengthening our position within a country.
One good thing is that we are differently doing sales in China. I’m not sure whether it is right or wrong, but I just believe it is right. We are going very slowly.
