Definition of silk screen printing method - Screen printing is a printing technique
that uses a woven mesh to support an ink-blocking stencil to receive a desired
image. The attached stencil forms open areas of mesh that transfer ink or other
printable materials which can be pressed through the mesh as a sharp-edged
image onto a substrate. A fill blade or squeegee is moved across the screen
stencil, forcing or pumping ink into the mesh openings for transfer by
capillary action during the squeegee stroke. Basically, it is the process of
using a stencil to apply ink onto another material whether it be t-shirts,
posters, stickers, vinyl, wood, or any material that can keep the image onto
its surface.
This is our silk printing machine in MAST
China factory.
Unlike automatic off-set printing method
, silk printing is method you need to adjust the amount of ink and put a paper
in the frame one by one.
Professional silk printing expert
is
adjusting the colour of ink based on
our chosen pantone colour.
I was very impressed the way
he adjust the
colour
because he mixed the colour
by his eye measure and sense
and he even
took the final colour,
as it is printed on the coloured paper,
into considertaion when he is mixing colour.
He is taking a silk printing plate
for
brand shopping bag logo to the machine.
Now we are going to do silk printing.
Pouring freshly adjusted ink
on the silk
printing plate,
then spread it evenly on the plate.
And carefully place the paper on the plate.
He is giving himself up entirely to the printing work.
Now he is inspectioning
whether the outputs are fit in
or colour tone is correct.
Now it's finished, tt eventually took 3 hours.
These were experiences of the silk printing in China~~
