Qīngmíng Festival
is 3days holiday in China which includes the 105th day after the winter solstice, the clear and balmy season and
Arbor Day.
We, our staffs and I, went to picnic to
famous Ta-qi-shan, one of the most visited spots in, Tonglu. It takes about an hour to the top of a
mountain and two hours to travel back and forth.
Wang-pang-zi, forever Tonglu keeper guided us as usual. I got to know Wang-pang-zi about 8years ago, back then, he ran pretty big sweater factory in Tonglu but his factory has been closed down now. Before making the path, it used to take about 4~5hours to get to Yìwū and Tonglu. But it takes only 2 hours to get there.
Whenever we visit Yìwū Wang-pang-zi send us a box of free range eggs or souvenir of Tonglu. 42years old Wang-pang-zi always says that " Mr. Bae is the No.1" I don’t know why he calls me like that exactly but I’m getting the feel of it.
I didn’t go there because I have some business to take care of with him but whenever I visit Yiwu, I contact him. There is nothing much to chat with him but he became one of the few friends I have in China.
Bamboo groves it remains me of the movie “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon”. Bamboo shot is growing too. Here is new place for healing. After passing bamboo groves and huge pond, should I put it green fountain? It is similar to Bukhansan Mountain climbing trail.
It was a holiday but not many people were there. Da-qi-shan waterfall was shown over there.
This is a particular chicken dish of Tonglu
region. Whole chicken, even with the head and feet,was stewed with soy sauce. I didn’t feel
like eating this dish at all. But as Wang-pang-zi treat this dish to us, I ate
some to response his sincerely. I don’t remember the taste well.
Once I visited Qin-qin when she was staying
in Guangzhou, she took me a restaurant and ordered something. I thought it was
chicken dish but I found out it was a dove dish. Anyway Qin-qin offered me a
head of dove. Later on I found out that there is a tradition in the region that
to serve the head of the poultry to their guest as a token of hospitality.
Whenever I visit Tonglu, Wang-pang-zi takes
me to the pace for eel which has 100years of history. The restaurant looks like 500 years old in
appearance and I didn't think that it was delicious.
For me it tasted like a soup with artificial
enhancer flavor. The place, the owner, bowls, chopsticks and even Wang-pang-zi
they all look like 100years old.

I don’t know if it was traditions of china or not .But according to my experience,
it seems that in china, the person you meet always bring his or her local
friend who you don’t know and the invited friend pays the bill for all. He waited for us at the parking lot while
we climbing the mountain, he didn’t drink.I met him several times but he doesn’t talk
much and not drink much either. I heard that he is not healthy. It seems that smoking, age
and drinking have nothing to do with health.
Wang-pang-zi is 120kg. Once he stopped
drinking and smoking because he had to take medicine as he has high blood pressure.
But now he drinks and smokes a lot again. After lunch Wang-pang-zi parted us. We had
barbeque along the edge of a stream of Tonglu. Weisabo and Huangbo swam even it
was a bit cold weather. We spent whole day for eating and drinking. Being a
friend even though we have different culture background and nationality, we
shared warmth. I was glad that I met Wang-pang-zi again.
I wish producing brand retail bag is kind
of sharing warmth between me and paper.
