[Brand paper bag company_MAST] Talking about paper technology




 At that time when I just start retail bag manufacturing business, I thought it would be easy.
It seems that every one can make it and I could do it better.
I believed that a retail bag is a highly marketable product.

 However the reality was a lot different. I was confronted with many difficult problems.The barrier to entry was higher than what I thought, expand business was difficult and economy crisis caused foreign-exchange loss. Still our business is still in its infancy.

 There are so many determinant factors for development of product, such as paper, strings, design. price terms and how to handle with faulty. I thought that we made the best of us but I am not satisfied fully yet. Now I realized that making shopping bag is not an easy thing, it needs a lot of experience and knowledge in this field.

 There must be marketing philosophy and I would call it “paper technology ".Does it really necessary to have such “paper technology” My answer is yes.

 I realized that all this kind of variables produce various outcomes
For instance, type of paper affect on the printed color, paper powder content affect on printed textures,type of ink affect on printing methods and others include gilt, coating, the way of thomson affect on the result as well.

 Furthermore, the way to fold the paper, type of glue, when to press, the way to put glue on depends on the season should be considered.I also thought about how to pack the products to reduce cbm and how to make a out box so that products can be fit in the container precisely.

 The same concept applies to the marketing and promoting.
I have thought hard that how to promote us. I think the most important thing is the effort What all of us include our staff, subcontractors have made and share our goal together.

 Who are we? I realized that we have to have our own special culture which can be shared. And I finally found a phrase which can describe us best."We create brand value” We make a retail bag to create brand value. For bran value, there is not only the quality of the product but also good communication with the client. I questioned to myself that how to the product and there are various method but now I think that the best way to develop is find a way to strengthen the basic function of the bag.
Then what is the basic function of the bag. I think I know the answer.

 The people? I don’t know yet. If you read The Immutable Laws of Marketing, you can find many laws in the book.Al Ries stated a laws in the end of the book and I like it is the most important
Why he mentioned the most important law at the last part of the book? Al Ries didn't run a retail bag business but if he does he would be better than us?

 I think we have still a long way to go and we have come about 30% so far or we may be still at the starting point.

 Brand retail bag is not the only area to need engineering.Bag, clothing or any sector need technical engineering and mental engineering.
